Adult Leader Training

To ensure that Troop 61 provides our scouts with a safe, high quality scouting program, it is important for all adult leaders to be properly trained. When you register with the troop as a parent or guardian, you are officially an adult leader, even if you do not hold a specific position within the troop. We strongly encourage all adult leaders to actively participate in troop activities, however to do so requires leaders to have completed two basic training courses: Youth Protection Training and Fast Start Training. Both courses may be taken on-line at the links provided below. Youth protection training must be renewed every three years. This training is required for all adults who participate in troop activities, including former scouts in the troop who have attained the age of 18.
